(You may see us still at #2 or #3, depending on which Google datacenter you hit.) Now we just have to hold position–easier said than done. We still have a ways to go with our second target search phrase, “online pets,” where we’re still down at SERP #5, above the fold but not good enough.

REDWOOD CITY, CALIF. – September 8, 2009 –FooMojo, Inc., creator of the world’s most realistic and emotionally engaging virtual pets, today announced FooPets Breeding, a new feature of the FooPets.com virtual pets social game that lets owners take part in planning and building their own FooPets family trees. Individually or together with a friend, FooPets owners can now breed two FooPets and raise a litter of puppies and kittens until they are old enough to be adopted. During the breeding process, FooPets owners are responsible for proper care of their FooBabies including feeding and watering, providing required healthcare and when ready, arranging for adoptions to good homes.

“Pet breeding in the real-world can be very rewarding but it’s a process that requires hard work, a substantial time-commitment, financial resources and dedication,” said Dr. Ron Hornbaker, veterinarian, founder and CEO, FooMojo. “FooPets Breeding gives virtual pet owners the opportunity to experience the excitement of building and caring for their own pet family tree but also raises awareness that there are serious responsibilities involved.”

FooPets Breeding is an entertaining and fun way to learn the aspects of pet breeding. For owners, creating their own personal FooPets genealogy can be an exciting experience. Every parent and baby FooPet has a unique personality profile that tracks the pet’s character traits determined by their breed. Personality profiles help owners find optimal breeding partners based on desired pet personality and behavior. Over time, FooPets family trees can evolve based on breeding history and bloodlines.

With FooPets Breeding, owners experience a condensed, comprehensive, simulation of the real-world breeding process. Once owners purchase a litter license and select a breeding partner, they can pair FooPets for conception, followed by a gestation period and then delivery. At delivery in approximately four weeks time, between four and seven adorable baby FooPets will arrive. After a two week weaning period when parent FooPets watch after the litter, baby FooPets then will require two weeks of careful attention from their owners before they are ready to be adopted. At this point, baby FooPets are old enough for adoption to good homes. By giving or selling baby FooPets to family and friends, owners can join their family trees and share in the fun of crafting personal FooPets genealogy to include specific desired traits and characteristics.

Redwood City, Calif. – December 17, 2008 – FooMojo, Inc., creator of the world’s most realistic and emotionally engaging virtual pets, today announced new relationships with the ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) and The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), respectively. Under the terms of the agreements, FooMojo has integrated donation options for both organizations into the online store of its FooPets virtual pet environment, now available on Facebook and the FooPets.com Web site. By enabling its over 1 million active monthly users to make donations to the ASPCA or HSUS directly from FooPets applications, FooMojo is enlisting the FooPets community to help protect animals in need and furthering its commitment to improve the lives of homeless pets. 100% of the net proceeds from donations made through FooPet applications will be directly transferred to the organizations.

“We are extremely excited about our partnership with FooMojo,” said Jo Sullivan, senior vice president of development and communications for the ASPCA. “We really appreciate their invention of a fun and creative way for people to learn about proper pet care and share the positive experience of pet ownership. What’s more important to us, though, is that through FooPets, we have the opportunity to spread the message of our life-saving work to new audiences every day.”

“Millions of dogs and cats are given up to shelters or left to die on the streets in the world today and we are very pleased to work with FooMojo in its effort to help improve this tragic reality,” said John Balzar, senior vice president of communications for the HSUS. “We thank the FooPets community for its generous support as we continue to protect dogs, cats and other animals from cruelty and suffering.”

FooMojo also made corporate donations to both the ASPCA and HSUS in the amount of $20,000 each. Through its non-profit organization, the FooPets Foundation, FooMojo donates 1% of its stock, 2% of its employees’ time and 100% of net donations to charitable causes that help protect animals in need.

“FooPets are a symbol of the emotional bond that develops when people engage in the lives of their pets and personally grow from ensuring their animal’s well being,” said Dr. Ron Hornbaker, veterinarian, founder and chief executive officer, FooMojo, Inc. “Improving the lives of shelter animals is a core mission of FooMojo. As individuals, we are limited in the number of animals we can personally care for so we felt it was important to involve the FooPet community in our larger efforts and enable our users to join us in supporting organizations that support animals in need. We are honored to work with the ASPCA and The Humane Society of the United States.”

Availability

Online donations to the ASPCA or HSUS can now be made in the online store of FooPets applications available on Facebook, MySpace and FooPets.com. 100% of net donation proceeds will be transferred to the organizations with no fees for administration.

Purina Becomes FooPets Exclusive Virtual Pet Food Brand for U.S. Users

Redwood City, Calif. – December 17, 2008 – FooMojo, Inc., creator of the world’s most realistic and emotionally engaging virtual pets, will join Nestlé Purina PetCare and Twentieth Century Fox in cross-promotional marketing programs designed to generate consumer interest in Fox’s upcoming motion picture comedy, “Marley & Me,” opening in theaters everywhere December 25. Based on the best-selling book by John Grogan, “Marley & Me,” starring Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston, is the heartwarming and unforgettable story of life, love, family – and the world’s “worst” dog. In addition, Purina® Dog Chow® brand dog food will be featured as the exclusive virtual pet food available to U.S. users on all FooPets applications and the FooPets.com Web site.

With over 1 million active monthly users today, FooPets are the world’s most realistic and emotionally engaging virtual pets for users of all ages. Nearly lifelike in appearance and behavior, FooPets interact just like real puppies and kittens and help teach adults, teens and kids how to better train and care for their real-world pets. Once adopted, they need daily care and attention and rely on their owners for food, water, playtime and affection. Owners are rewarded with FooPet currency, called FooDollars, for proper pet care that can then be used to purchase food and pet accessories. Owners can also earn additional FooDollars by feeding and playing with other users’ FooPets who are hungry, thirsty or need attention.

“Purina and FooMojo are both companies committed to enriching the lives of pets and helping educate owners on their pets’ health, nutrition and general well-being,” said Chris Padgett, vice president, Nestlé Purina PetCare. “FooMojo offers an entertaining online experience that encourages consumers of all ages to learn more about proper pet care in a fun virtual environment they enjoy. We are pleased to be part of FooPets.”

“Daily feeding is an important activity in the FooPets application and provides us with an excellent opportunity for teaching users about the nutritional needs of puppies and kittens,” said Dr. Ron Hornbaker, veterinarian, founder and chief executive officer, FooMojo, Inc. “Nestlé Purina PetCare has shown great dedication to making valuable pet food information, training tips and health care facts available for pet owners. We are excited to partner with Purina and help make our users aware of the company’s pet food products.”

As the exclusive pet food available to U.S. FooPets owners, the Purina brand plays an important and very visible role in the FooPets environment. Because FooPets require daily feeding, owners will depend on the Purina to feed their pets. The puppy food is available for purchase in the FooPets online store and using FooDollars, owners can buy food when they need it.

Lifelike Puppies and Kittens Provide Companionship, Entertainment and Help Teach Pet Care Education to Users of All Ages

Company Builds on Facebook Momentum with Launch of New Line of FooPets Kittens and FooPets.com Destination Web Site

Redwood City, Calif. – December 17, 2008 – FooMojo, Inc., creator of the popular “Pokey” Facebook application with over 1 million active monthly users, today announced it has launched FooPets, the world’s most realistic and emotionally engaging virtual pets for users of all ages. Nearly lifelike in appearance and behavior, FooPets interact just like real puppies and kittens and help teach adults, teens and kids how to better train and care for real-world pets. Because FooPets are completely web-enabled, they live in favorite online locations across the Internet including Facebook and MySpace profiles and the new FooPets.com Web site. FooMojo also announced today that it has unveiled a new line of FooPets kittens for immediate adoption and launched the FooPets.com Web site, a new online destination that expands the FooPets virtual environment with additional features, functionality and management capabilities.

“FooPets bring the positive interaction and companionship from pet ownership to the web world, where people now spend over a quarter of their waking hours,” said Dr. Ron Hornbaker, veterinarian and founder and chief executive officer, FooMojo, Inc. “With the Internet adding another dimension to the everyday lives of people everywhere, FooPets are not merely virtual toys to their owners. Each one actually is alive in the online domain and is real with a unique personality. Our goal in creating FooPets is to enrich the lives of people with engaging, educational game play unlike any traditional virtual pet environment.”

A New Breed of Virtual Pets – Online Companionship For Users of All Ages

Introduced in February 2008 as a test trial application for Facebook called “Pokey”, FooPets puppies became one of the social networking site’s fastest growing applications. Today, there are over 1 million active monthly FooPets users from around the world who connect and share in their FooPets experiences.

While many popular virtual pet environments were designed with cartoon-like features to target teens and kids, FooPets were modeled after real puppies and kittens and elicit deep emotional bonds with people of all ages. Easy to recognize due to their lifelike appearance and behavior, FooPets take on their own individual lives and develop unique personalities. Once adopted, they need daily care and attention and rely on their owners for food, water, playtime and affection. Owners are rewarded with FooPets currency, called FooDollars, for proper pet care that can then be used to purchase food, pet accessories and pet services. Over time, FooPets will continue to evolve by learning new tricks, responding to commands and aging from a puppy to a senior adult animal.

FooPets provide a fun, educational way of leaning how to better train and care for pets. An ideal educational tool to help parents teach their children about the responsibility and time commitment of pet ownership, FooPets also can help adults become better pet owners by learning proper training, common health concerns and the best care techniques. As part of a large community, FooPets help raise awareness for the global issue of hungry pets and how the greater population can work together in fighting this problem. By enabling users to easily identify pets that have not been fed or cared for properly, FooPets owners earn additional FooDollars by using their own food supply to feed and play with pets in need throughout the virtual environment.

Web-enabled well beyond any virtual pet environment available today, FooPets are portable across the Internet. With any web connection owners can easily care for their pets at any time, share experiences with other FooPets owners throughout the world and connect with Foopets service providers who can help with pet services such as pet sitting. Because the FooPets application was designed with rich social networking features, FooPets users can interact with one another and share pet care experiences. FooPets owners commonly interact by sending thank-you messages for help with feeding; asking or answering questions on the FooPets forum; and even snapping and sharing pictures of their pets using the FooPets camera.

Introducing FooPets Kittens and the New FooPets.com Web site
